Family-friendly event celebrates working Vermonters over billionaires.
Labor Day is just around the corner, and it’s a perfect occasion for we, the people, to remind the people in our government that they are supposed to serve all of us, not just the billionaires. It’s a time for us to join together in the understanding that an injury to one is an injury to all, to resist the authoritarian assault on our democracy, our rights and freedoms, and to denounce the policies that deprive working families of food, housing and health care in order to further enrich the already wealthy.
Like thousands of other communities across the country, Burlington will host a Labor Day rally as part of this national day of action celebrating workers over billionaires.
Come join us at Battery Park on Monday, September 1, for what promises to be Vermont’s largest gathering. We will assemble at 1 pm, march through downtown Burlington, and return to the park for a family-friendly rally with music, speakers, and food.
Stop by the RAD booth at Battery Park and say hello!
