A regenerative economy designed by and for Vermont’s most-impacted communities.
Vermonters who have been most burdened by historical and present environmental harms – including BIPOC residents, immigrants, and lower-income communities – must be centered in defining the way forward.
With Green Justice Zones, we can ensure that Vermont’s most-impacted communities have the funding and decision-making power to lead the way toward a regenerative economy that guarantees a better future for all of us.
Green Justice Zones initiative
We are working toward establishing Green Justice Zones in Vermont communities that have been most burdened by environmental pollution. Green Justice Zones use data mapping, community design, and participatory budgeting to support community revitalization in most-impacted communities.
